In their new court filing, lawyers for Combs said they are proposing a “far more robust” bail package that would subject the entertainer to strict around-the-clock security monitoring and near-total restrictions on his ability to contact anyone but his lawyers, reported news agency AP.

But the amount of money they attach to the package remains $50 million, as they proposed before. They also cite new evidence that they say “makes clear that the government's case is thin.” That evidence, the lawyers said, refutes the government's claim that a March 2016 video showing Combs physically assaulting his then-girlfriend occurred during a coerced “freak off,” a sexually driven event described in the indictment against Combs.

The lawyers argued that the jail conditions Combs is experiencing at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn violate his constitutional rights to participate in his defense. A spokesperson for prosecutors declined to comment.

Sean Diddy's troubles mount According to USA Today, this time, Diddy is offering the same $50 million bail as before, but with some new details to support his case. The money would be guaranteed by the value of two houses in Florida - one belonging to him and one to his mother. This isn't his first attempt to get bail - he's tried before and been denied.

According to court documents obtained by USA Today, Diddy’s legal team is requesting bail, maintaining his not-guilty plea.

The proposed conditions include round-the-clock monitoring by approved security personnel, “restricting his access to the internet and phone except during legal consultations, and limiting visitors to a pre-approved list of close family members.” Additionally, the rapper and his family would surrender their passports. The bail proposal also suggests that Combs is open to being placed under full home detention, either at his $48 million Miami residence or at another appropriate location in New York.

Shocking details emerge Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs gag order denied Diddy's case was recently reassigned to Judge Arun Subramanian, who will now preside over Combs' criminal trial. Judge Arun Subramanian denied Combs’ request to impose a gag order on potential witnesses in his criminal sex trafficking case, affirming that his concerns do not override the free speech rights of alleged victims. “Not all alleged victims will be participants in this case, and a blanket restriction on their speech will silence individuals who may never have anything to do with the proceedings here,” the court ruling says according to CNN.

“And in any event, less restrictive alternatives must be considered and rejected before imposing a restraint on speech.” (You can now subscribe to our Economic Times WhatsApp channel ).
