The 55-year-old singer is accused of leveraging his business empire to sexually abuse women over a span of two decades, from 2004 to 2024. More trouble brews for singer Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs as he faces fresh charges related to alleged sex trafficking, just ahead of his upcoming trial in May. According to Variety, a new 17-page filing accuses Combs of involvement in sex trafficking activities between 2021 and 2024, involving a woman referred to as Victim-2.
With two additional charges, the hip-hop mogul now faces a total of five criminal counts. Diddy has denied any wrongdoing, while his trial remains scheduled for May 5 in Manhattan federal court. The new charges claim Sean “recruited, enticed, harboured, transported, and maintained Victim-2," and allegedly “aided, abetted, and caused Victim-2 to engage in commercial sex acts.
" Additionally, he faces charges for transporting Victim-2 and other sex workers across state and international lines for prostitution, according to Variety. The indictment against Diddy was filed on Friday in New York. In response, a representative for Sean said: “These are not new allegations or new accusers.
These are the same individuals who were involved in consensual relationships." The 55-year-old singer will now face new trafficking charges, in addition to the existing allegations that he used his business empire to sexually abuse women between 2004 and 2024. A key element of the case is a 2016 viral video showing Combs attacking former girlfriend Cassie Ventura in a LA hotel.
However, his representatives say that the video cannot be linked to trafficking and racketeering charges. But, prosecutors claim that the incident happened during a so-called “freak-off." In Diddy’s case, a “freak off" refers to a recorded sexual performance, allegedly involving women and male sex workers.
Under the new charges, Diddy could face more jail time if he is convicted for allegations of sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution. Both indictments refer to three of Combs’ alleged victims. Diddy could be formally charged with the new indictment and asked to respond by April 25.
Charges against Diddy in previous and new indictments: Diddy is facing a total of five criminal counts, including three made in the initial indictment. These include a charge of transporting individuals for prostitution. The new indictment adds two more transportation counts involving Victims 1 and 2.
In the new indictment, there is also a reference to Victim 3 as part of an alleged racketeering conspiracy involving Combs. Known as Puff Daddy and P. Diddy, Combs founded Bad Boy Records and helped launch the careers of stars like Mary J.
Blige, Faith Evans, and Notorious B.I.G.
Diddy’s Bad Boy Entertainment is also accused of facilitating and enabling the abuse, as claimed by the prosecutors. Combs also faces numerous civil lawsuits for sexual assault and misconduct, which he denies..
