Annalise Seabolt, a freshman at St. Joseph High School, recently won Best in Show at the Faulkner County Fair for her dill pickles. She also won second place for her wild plum jelly.

She comes by her skills naturally having learned them at the hands of her grandmother, Gigi, from Mount Pleasant, Texas. “Annalise spent a couple of weeks there this summer learning food preservation and canning techniques,” her mother, Jodi, said. “Homemade pickles and wild plum jelly are two of our family favorites.
