Screening test at Oxford NHS trust could lead to healthier pregnancies

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUH) has introduced the test to detect pre-eclampsia sooner than was previously possible. Pre-eclampsia is a complication during pregnancy that causes some women to have high blood pressure and protein in their urine. All pregnant women receiving care at OUH are now offered this test at their 12-week ultrasound scan.
