A 43-year-old Scottsbluff man died Friday in a two-vehicle crash on Nebraska 71, about 20 miles north of Scottsbluff . Larry Fenner died at the scene of a crash that occurred at about 5:20 p.m.
Nebraska State Patrol spokesperson Cody Thomas said a preliminary investigation determined that Fenner had been driving a Chevrolet Malibu northbound on Nebraska 71 when he crossed the center line into the southbound lane. The driver of a southbound Dodge Ram attempted to avoid the collision by entering the northbound lane, but the two vehicles collided. The other driver was not identified but Thomas said that person was transported to Regional West Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
