Others argued that more deserving players were left out in favor of the Gin Kings’ floor general. 4 assists and 1.2 steals per game. He also helped Ginebra win that season’s Governors’ Cup title.
That performance, along with his accolades from the previous year, became the tipping point for his inclusion in the PBA’s 50 Greatest Players list—an honor that, admittedly, comes with pressure. “The pressure’s there, but like I’ve always said, it’s better to overcome that pressure and deliver.
