Scott Smith: A good school resource officer works

As a former teacher and school administrator, I totally agree with writers Stephen Hussey and Dawn Morin, who each wrote a My Turn piece backing the need for a school resource officer in Greenfield. Their reasons for supporting an SRO are in line with what I saw work in action during my last five years of teaching in a local public school. Hiring a “student centered” officer with restorative justice skills will only enhance the entire school community and learning process.
