Scarlett Johansson’s alleged stalker, who has been identified to be Michael Joseph Branham, was arrested after making a chilling threat to bomb Saturday Night Live’, an American late-night live sketch comedy variety show, where Johansson’s husband Colin Jost works as the co-host of the ‘Weekend Update’ segment. According to a report by The New York Post, Branham, 48, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with making a threat of mass harm and false reporting an incident. An alleged text sent by Branham to an online university he attends reads, “The next time you here from me i’ll be on CNN for exploding a bomb in ‘Saturday Night Live’ audience.

” The threat wasn’t taken lightly and was passed on to investigators at NBC Universal, who contacted NYPD to take the necessary steps. Notably, Branham also has a realistic picture of a heart tattooed on his chest along with the word ‘Scarlett.’ He was reportedly arraigned on Thursday night in Mahattan criminal court, where he was held on a $100,000 cash or $300,000 bond bail.

It has been suggested that Johansson filed a restraining order against Branham last year after he repeatedly showed up at her home and began making a series of ridiculous claims on social media involving the actress. In a 2023 post shared on X, Branham wrote, “Thank you so much my fiance’ #SCARLETTJOHANSSON for buying me a car !!!! You're the best woman ever in my life even before you bought me this car! I love you beautiful!!!!” Johansson has been married to Jost since October 2020, and they share a son who was born in 2021..
