Savannah Chrisley has opened up about her split from ex-boyfriend Robert Shiver, saying his beauty queen ex-wife played a key part in the breakdown of their relationship after she was released from prison and awaited trial in a murder-for-hire plot. The “Chrisley Knows Best” alum, 27, revealed Tuesday that she and Shiver called it quits last month after nearly two years together. Chrisley was quick to blame the former Auburn University football player’s estranged wife, Lindsay Shiver, for causing “so much mass destruction” in their relationship after she was released from prison in the Bahamas in February.
“I would love to say, ‘I don’t want to give her the notoriety that she has so badly been seeking,’ but I feel like that’s the only way to go,” Chrisley said on “Unlocked” podcast . “I don’t think I will ever forgive her for what she has put Robert and the boys through. I don’t believe Robert and I would be where we’re at today if she wouldn’t have caused so much mass destruction.
” The podcast host admitted that her 39-year-old ex “should have done a lot of work on himself” before they started dating in August 2023 . “I feel like men always get the bad rap in relationships. It’s always, ‘Men do this, that, whatever.
’ Well, we, as women, can also cause a lot of destruction along the way. It’s just the truth of the matter. And that’s what she did,” Chrisley said.
“She caused a lot of destruction, and she absolutely destroyed a great man. She destroyed him.” Lindsay, along with her Bahamian lover Terrance Bethel, is accused of plotting to hire alleged hitman Faron Newbold Jr.
to kill Robert in July 2023. The pair’s ill-fated 13-year marriage hit major roadblocks when Robert accused Lindsay of having an affair while she accused him of “physical and mental cruel treatment.” Police say they stumbled upon a plan to kill Robert while searching Bethel’s phone in an investigation over an unrelated burglary at a bar on Great Guana Cay in the Bahamas.
Lindsay, Bethel and Newbold were arrested in July 2023 . They pleaded not guilty to all charges. “She had to stay in the Bahamas for a while and while she was there, life was great,” Chrisley said.
“We were in our routines with not only Robert and I, but also the kids. There was no drama. It was a drama-free zone.
” Lindsay was released from Nassau’s notorious Fox Hill prison after posting $100,000 bail in August 2023. Chrisley, for her part, pointed out that her relationship with Robert took a turn when Lindsay returned from the Bahamas earlier this year and tried to “destroy everything” in her path. “When she would come back to the US, not only did she come back but the chaos came back with her,” Chrisley claimed.
“It’s like she wanted to destroy everything in [Robert’s] path, her path, everyone. There was never a sense of care for another individual except for herself.” The reality star accused Lindsay of leaking information to the media.
“She didn’t want me in the picture,” Chrisley said. “There was a time to where she tried to get the courts to say I wasn’t allowed around the children.” The beauty entrepreneur added that Lindsay’s “chaos” was too much for Robert to handle.
Chrisley believed she entered Robert’s life when he needed “hope,” and her purpose was to remind him that “there can be love after chaos.” Lindsay’s trial is set for August 2025..
