Saskatoon police charge woman in Friday homicide on Eighth Street

City police say they have charged a 36-year-old woman with first-degree murder in the death of a 20-year-old woman on Friday. The names of the accused and the victim have not been released. The on Friday night.

In a news release on Monday, police said they’re asking the public for any available dash cam footage from vehicles travelling westbound in that block between 6:15 p.m. and 6:45 p.



m. on Friday. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact city police at 306-975-8300 or submit a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers.

No further information has been released. This was the 13th homicide recorded in the city in 2024..
