Ludhiana: Sidhwan Bet police have filed a case against 30 people for attacking the wife of a village sarpanch. Complainant Parkash Kaur, wife of Jagdev Singh, sarpanch of Gorsian Khan Muhammad, said that on Nov 6, the accused, armed with sharp weapons, entered the house of former sarpanch Surjit Singh, her uncle-in-law, with the intent to kill him and his family. They surrounded and attacked her, following a fight on Diwali night.
