Santa Cruz Wharf partially collapses during stormy waves in California

A California pier collapsed on Monday as a powerful storm battered the coast of Santa Cruz. A 150-foot section of the Santa Cruz Wharf fell into the ocean, including a closed restaurant and restrooms. Three people were also swept away by the waves: two were rescued by swimmers while the third managed to swim to shore. The US West Coast is on alert for more stormy weather.
