Sanjay Raut Blames Ex-CJI Chandrachud For MVA's Maharashtra Drubbing, Says 'History Won't Forgive Him'

Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut on Sunday blamed former Chief Justice Of India DY Chandrachud for the Maha Vikas Aghadi's poor show in the Maharashtra Assembly elections. Raut went on to say that history will "never forgive" Chandrachud, who retired from the post recently, alleging that he has "removed" the fear of the law from defectors. Raut had earlier alleged foul play in the counting of votes."Former Chief Justice of India, DY Chandrachud is responsible for the outcome of Maharashtra Assembly election 2024. In 2022, following the split in the undivided Shiv Sena, the party's faction headed by Uddhav Thackeray filed petitions in the Supreme Court on the disqualification of party MLAs who defected along with Eknath Shinde.The apex court gave the power to the assembly Speaker to decide on the disqualification petitions, which he did earlier this year, declaring the Sena bloc led by Shinde as the "real political party". Raut alleged that the results of the assembly election were pre-decided. If the then CJI had decided on the disqualification petitions on time, the outcome would have been different.
