Downtown Sandusky is hosting its second annual First Night Sandusky Dec. 31. The family-friendly event takes place from noon to midnight and features two stages of live performances and activities throughout downtown Sandusky, according to a news release.

The Main Stage located at Schade-Mylander Plaza will come alive with performances by three artists: Noah Smith a Cincinnati-based singer-songwriter whose sound bridges the gap between country and rock ‘n’ roll; Vinyl Arcade a TV theme cover band featuring 70s/80s/90s jukebox classics and jingles; and Big Blitz a saxophone- and-drum trio. The Main Stage will be hosted by DJ Chosen. Families are invited to the Family Fun Zone located at the Jackson Street Pier.

There will be ice skating at the Civista Bank Ice Rink . Attendees can participate in arts and crafts activities and watch balloon artists, caricature artists, street performers and more. Alex Dominish and The Locals will perform on the Family Fun Zone Stage.

While visiting the Jackson Street Pier, explore unique handcrafted goods, treats and one-of-a- kind gifts at the Celebration Market, the release said. Food Truck Alley on Shoreline Drive will offer a variety of refreshments. The event is presented by Great Lakes Audio Visual.
