Samyang Roundsquare announced on October 29 that it will display the 'Splash Buldak' advertisement on a large electronic billboard in New York's Times Square for approximately four weeks, starting October 23. Times Square, located at the intersection of Broadway and 7th Avenue, is a renowned tourist hotspot and a hub of arts and culture in New York. This bustling location is considered the world's largest advertising center, continuously showcasing advertisements from various global brands.
The Times Square advertisement is part of the global integrated campaign 'Splash Buldak,' which began on October 11. The ad will be broadcast 864 times daily on the billboards next to the Broadway ticket booth and Duffy Square, resulting in more than 24,000 displays over the four-week period. The total runtime is expected to reach approximately 67 hours.
The 'Splash Buldak' advertisement features a bold message, "WANT SOMETHING HOT?", with cinematic scenes that accentuate the appeal of Buldak sauce. The 3D video showcases Buldak sauce being poured over foods like burgers, pizzas, and sandwiches, effectively highlighting its dynamism and versatility, capturing the attention of tourists visiting Times Square. "Through this advertisement, we aim to introduce the allure of K-sauce to the world and hope that Buldak will become a key element of inspiration on dining tables globally," said an official from Samyang Roundsquare.
