Samsung's smallest flagship just got its biggest price drop ever. The South Korean giant, on Friday, September 20, announced that the Galaxy S24 will now be available for a limited-time price of ₹59,999. This includes a cashback of ₹12,000, an upgrade bonus or bank cashback of ₹3,000.
The smartphone launched at ₹74,999 earlier this year. The Galaxy S24 lineup, including its plus-sized sibling and the Ultra, introduced Galaxy AI with features like Live Translate—which offers real-time voice and text translations during phone calls within the native app; Interpreter mode— allows for instant translations of live conversations on a split-screen view, even without cellular data or Wi-Fi; and Chat Assist, which refines conversational tones to ensure messages convey their intended meaning. In Samsung Notes, the Note Assist feature provides AI-generated summaries and templates that simplify note-taking.
For voice recordings, Transcript Assist utilises AI and Speech-to-Text technology to transcribe, summarize, and translate recordings, even in multi-speaker scenarios. The Galaxy S24 lineup also introduced a gesture-driven ‘Circle to Search’ feature in collaboration with Google, marking a significant advancement in search capabilities. Available in four colours—Amber Yellow, Cobalt Violet, Onyx Black, and Marble Gray—the Galaxy S24 boasts a sleek one-mass design and a 50MP triple camera setup with enhanced Nightography features.
Its AI Zoom technology ensures stunning photos and videos in various lighting conditions. The smartphone has a 6.2-inch display that can achieve peak brightness levels of up to 2600 nits and features a 1-120 Hz adaptive refresh rate for improved performance efficiency.
A robust 4000 mAh battery powers the device, which Samsung Knox secures to protect critical information against vulnerabilities with real-time threat detection and end-to-end secure hardware. In my review, I called the S24 the best compact phone for its time . The Galaxy S24 will get seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates and is available at all leading online and offline retail stores.
