NEW DELHI: The sixth day in the Parliament witnessed dramatic scenes as the opposition staged protests within the premises, demanding discussions on various issues including the Adani controversy , the Sambhal violence , and situation in Bangladesh. Amid the ongoing uproar over the Adani matter, the Samajwadi Party took a different stance from the INDIA bloc on Tuesday, stating that the "Sambhal issue is bigger than Adani for the party" adding that it is a public issue since five people have lost their lives. 'Sambhal is a top priority issue': SP Speaking to ANI, Samajwadi Party MP Zia Ur Rehman Barq said, "This (Sambhal) issue is bigger than the Adani issue because it is a public issue, people have been oppressed, killed, their rights have been violated, so it is a big issue.

Today, Akhilesh Yadav was given an opportunity to discuss this and we want a judicial commission to be formed in this, which should be headed by the sitting judge of the Supreme Court so that the truth can be found out and action should be taken against those who are responsible." "The discussion over the Adani issue is important. However, since five people have died, Sambhal has become a top priority issue for Samajwadi Party," Samajwadi Party MP Iqra Hasan told news agency PTI.

"Akhilesh Yadav said the truth (Sambhal violence was pre-planned). Sambhal, Badaun, Jaunpur, Ajmer Sharif. There are thousands of mosques.

What is Adani issue? The real issue is Sambhal where people are being killed by bullets, where houses are being robbed, electricity is being cut forcibly. What is Adani in front of this crisis," said Samajwadi Party MP Ram Gopal Yadav. Akhilesh Yadav taking a jibe at BJP said that, "Those who want to dig everywhere will someday lose the cordiality and brotherhood of the country.

" "Since the day when the parliament session began, the Samajwadi Party has tried to raise the issue of the Sambhal incident. The House didn't function, but our demand is still the same - we want to put our views on the Sambhal incident in the House," Yadav said. "The officers out there are working arbitrarily - such that they are working as party workers of the BJP.

Sambhal incident is a well-thought strategy of the BJP to deviate people from other issues. Those who want to dig everywhere - someday they will lose the cordiality and brotherhood of the country," he added. "This is a very serious matter.

Five people have lost their lives," Yadav had said. When the Speaker suggested that members could discuss the matter during Zero Hour, Yadav and his party associates began leaving the chamber in protest. Since November 19, the situation in Sambhal has been volatile, with violent clashes between protesters and police leaving at least five dead and several injured, including over 20 police personnel.

Adani, one of most important issues of the country: Congress Earlier in the day, several opposition leaders, including Congress's Rahul, Priyanka, and AAP's Sanjay Singh, along with other INDIA alliance members, conducted protests within Parliament premises demanding a discussion on the Adani controversy. Rahul Gandhi, who serves as the leader of opposition in Lok Sabha, shared photographs of the demonstration on Facebook with the message, stating "Protesting at Makar Dwar, Parliament complex, today, asking the real question: Who will benefit from the billions of Adani, Modi ji? Speaking to ANI, Congress MP Hussain said, "There are so many issues. We want discussion on many issues.

One is, JPC in Adani issue and discussion on it. There is Sambhal issue, Ajmer issue, Bangladesh issue, Manipur issue. So many issues are there.

But the Govt is not allowing us to discuss these issues. They adjourned the moment we take Adani's name." That (Adani case) is one of the most important issues of the country.

The American court has already initiated a case. The root cause of the case happened in India..

. At least there should be a discussion on that. We don't know why the government is running away from that.

We will take up this issue whenever we have a chance," said Congress leader KC Venugopal. While Congress MP Gogoi said, "We want to raise in the House all important issues within and outside India. Our party has made statements on all those issues at different times.

We have expressed our concern over this issue." TMC raises Bangladesh Hindus issue in Parliament TMC MP Sudeep Bandopadhyay on the Bangladesh issue said that, "Our neighbouring country Bangladesh where the minorities and the Hindus are being tortured and being killed. Bangladesh is our neighbouring country attached to our state of West Bengal.

We are making an appeal that let the government of India appeal to the United Nations to send peacekeeping forces to Bangladesh immediately Government of India is totally silent now, the reason of which is best known to them. "Our appeal is that EAM come to the parliament and inform us of the latest position of Bangladesh. Our chief minister yesterday adopted in the West Bengal assembly that whatever decision GoI will take, the West Bengal government will stand by the decision.

We want to work together," he added. While TMC MP Kirti Azad said, "They are our neighbours. They were once a part of us.

..When such a situation persists there, as an elder brother and given our good relations, the Govt of India should protect the ones who are facing the wrong there.

When Govt of India is silent and does politics here too, United Nations will have to intervene - that not only in Bangladesh, but wherever in the world the minorities are being persecuted it should be stopped." Parliament proceedings have been disrupted since the start of the Winter Session as opposition parties staged protests demanding discussions on these issues. Earlier on Monday, both the Houses were adjourned first till noon and later for the entire day.

The Winter Session, which began on November 25, is scheduled to continue until December 20..
