Mumias East Member of Parliament, Peter Salasya, has raised eyebrows with a public appeal urging any women who believe they may have a child with him to come forward. Taking to his Instagram on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, Salasya declared that any woman who thinks she has his child should bring the child to him by the following Wednesday. “Any woman who thinks and believes she has my child should bring that child to me by Wednesday next week,” Salasya declared.
Salasya’s past attempts to find love and settle have not been a smooth sail. His past attempts to court prominent women like socialite Huddah Monroe and content creator Azziad Nasenya have failed, with both women publicly rejecting his advances. The lawmaker made headlines recently when he expressed his interest in fast-rising content creator Cera Imani.
Despite the public criticism and mixed reactions to his online behaviour, Salasya later defended his flirtations as harmless fun . During an interview on a local radio station on February 12, 2025, he shrugged off the criticism, describing his social media interactions as light-hearted and claiming that they should not be taken seriously. According to him, the exchanges are simply for fun and not meant to be viewed as anything more than entertainment.
“Iyo ni kiki na mbwembwe . It is good to always have fun. And it’s good to appreciate what God has created for us,” Salasya stated.
Bachelorhood During the interview, Salasya advised women who may be interested in him to remain patient, as he has little time for serious commitments due to the demanding nature of his duties as a Member of Parliament. He reassured his followers that his main focus was his role as an elected representative, leaving no room for romantic entanglements at the moment. “Naweza kuwaambia tuendelee kuwa wapole, watulivu.
Kwa sababu unaweza kunitamani lakini kunipata ndo shida. Kwa sababu I am too busy. Niko na majukumu kwa sasa, ” he said.
While Salasya expressed that he encouraged young men in his constituency to get married when the time was right, he considered himself an exception, citing his responsibilities as a legislator as the reason for his continued bachelorhood. He added that when the time comes, he plans to marry three women, humorously suggesting that there are more women than men in society, which justifies his unusual stance.
In another interview, the outspoken legislator also outlined his preferences for a potential partner, revealing that he seeks someone ambitious but also willing to live a traditional, rural lifestyle.
He expressed dissatisfaction with the idea of dating women who prefer city life, particularly those based in Nairobi. Instead, he shared that his friends had recommended he look for women in professions such as teaching or banking, where they would be less likely to bring him stress. Salasya has also made some eyebrow-raising remarks about dating virgins.
He admitted that he is not interested in dating virgins, as he considers the responsibility of breaking their virginity too burdensome. Instead, he joked that if he found out a woman was a virgin, he would encourage her to experience another relationship before returning to him. “When I realise she is a virgin I will allow her to go have another man to break her virginity and come back to me.
I hate to labour to break a woman for another man hehe...
though sisi vienyeji we are better at breaking virgins than born town who are very weak on the bed,” he said. You might also like Before you go..
