The report also suggested that Adams, who asked to be traded earlier this week, is expected to be recovered from his hamstring injury by next week, and that a trade could happen soon, with "talks expected to accelerate Monday and Tuesday." The Saints play the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night. They're a contender for Adams in part because New Orleans quarterback Derek Carr played with him in college at Fresno State.

The Saints would have to meet the Raiders' asking price — they've floated the idea of a second-round pick — and figure out how to fit Adams' salary under the salary cap. Adams is owed about $1 million per week for the rest of the season; the Saints have approximately $2.7 million in cap space, so they'd need to restructure Adams' contract to make a deal work.

Other teams mentioned as possibilities for Adams are the New York Jets, who have his former Packers quarterback, Aaron Rodgers; as well as the Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers..
