Saints make tough decision on Spencer Rattler during important matchup against Chargers

The New Orleans Saints offense is having their weekly issues once again. The first couple of games of the season seem like a lifetime ago. Since those two wins, their offense has been one of the worst units in the NFC. This week's performance against the Los Angeles Chargers has been no different.

The New Orleans Saints offense is having their weekly issues once again. The first couple of games of the season seem like a lifetime ago. Since those two wins, their offense has been one of the worst units in the NFC.

This week's performance against the Los Angeles Chargers has been no different. The passing game has been nearly nonexistent, and they have no completions downfield outside of a nice throw and run to Juwan Johnson at the end of the first half. With the struggles, New Orleans is going in a new direction at the quarterback position.



Saints bench Spencer Rattler Just over halfway through the third quarter, the Saints have gone to Jake Haener at QB, benching rookie Spencer Rattler. Before getting benched, the rookie totaled 155 passing yards on 12/23 completions. He was sacked four times and did not run the ball at all.
