Kajol revealed at News18's Rising Bharat Summit that Saif Ali Khan was replaced by Kamal Sadanah in her debut film Bekhudi. She praised OTT for offering diverse roles. Bollywood actress Kajol attended News18’s Rising Bharat Summit on Tuesday in New Delhi where she talked about her 1992 movie Bekhudi.

The actress made a big revelation and hinted that Saif Ali Khan was removed from the film. Released in 1992, Bekhudi marked Kajol’s Bollywood debut. Initially, Saif Ali Khan was slated to star in the film, but he was later replaced by Kamal Sadanah.

Recalling what had happened, Kajol said, “I had very little knowledge about films back then to even feel disappointed or happy. But yes, Saif was really cool. He was a great guy to work with.

I was like, ‘Why are we changing him?’ Mujhe kuch samajh mein hi nahi aaya ke use kyu nikala gaya tha. Usne kyu picture chod di. But of course, Kamal was lovely to work with.

I was too young at that time to realise what was happening." During the session, Kajol also talked about being a part of the film industry and mentioned that actors today are lucky since they can work on roles without worrying about their age or figure. She credited OTT for bringing a change in the showbiz world and stated that talent is above everything else.

“Actors today are very lucky. It is a fabulous time for actors across the world. With OTT, especially, we are getting a variety of roles which are not age-specific.

It has nothing to do with any kind of measurement. It does not measure you by your age or figure. It is wonderful.

We have choices. We do not have to look a particular way. It really has to do with your talent and it has to do with the kind of work you do," Kajol said.
