- The Safe City project has been launched in the city of Osh on September 16, Turmush reports. Special devices will automatically record and video traffic violations and issue fines. The surveillance cameras will record the following types of violations: - violation of the speed regime; - vehicle movement on the lane for blocked vehicles; - departure of the vehicle on the opposite lane; - vehicle control by driver without the safety belt.
Movement on the side; - no advantage in the movement of pedestrians - turning at the crosswalk; - violation of rules of stopping or parking at the crosswalk; - violation of the requirements of road signs; - driving to the traffic light; - failure to comply with traffic rules on stop before a stop line; - violation of the rules of stopping or parking of the vehicle; - stopping or parking on the sidewalk. Traffic violations will be formally fined and drivers will be notified within a month. Deputy head of the municipal property department of the city mayor’s office of Osh Maksat Orozalyev told Turmush that the Safe City cameras started working on Masaliyev, Razzakov, Kurmanjan-Datka, Lenin, Aytiyev and Osmosnov Streets.
At the moment, there are 60 video cameras in the city, including 44 of them are stationary, 11 - portable hardware and software systems, 5 - mobile. To detect violations of the rules, a monitoring center has been established, where specialists will check videos and photos from the system. Upon the result of the violation, the driver of the bus is notified.
