Sadie Borelli led the charge in 2 ways Monday afternoon as Lower Dauphin pounds Gettysburg.

Lower Dauphin’s Sadie Borelli had a nice day both at the plate and in the circle Monday afternoon, cranking a 3-run double on offense and punching out 13 Warriors on defense en route to a 14-4 victory. • Sign up for PennLive’s daily high school sports newsletter Anece Zubler led off with an RBI single, but Borelli’s 3-run double kick-started an 8-run offensive explosion for the Falcons in the bottom of the 3rd inning. Lower Dauphin added 2 more on a throwing error and got their last 2 runs on a sacrifice fly by Carissa Wenner.

Ellie Sands and Morgan Rebert each blasted a home run for the Warriors in the contest, but it was not enough. Borelli twirled 5 1/3 innings, giving up 4 earned runs on 6 hits. Lower Dauphin moves to 6-1 with the win, as Gettysburg drops to 2-8.
