A Wheel of Fortune contestant shared about her unexpected passion that she is working on turning into a career. Nikki from Melbourne, Florida went up against Thomas from Detroit, Michigan and Julie from Spokane, Washington on the April 15 episode of the ABC puzzle game show . In the segment that occurs in the beginning of the episode where the contestants speak about themselves, Nikki talked about her unexpected passion.
Host Ryan Seacrest brought up that she had a hobby/passion she wanted to turn into a career which Nikki verified and then said that she does Aquascaping and explained that it was interior designing for fish. Price Is Right's Drew Carey says player can't 'complain' about not playing Plinko NCIS' Brian Dietzen posts rare photo of wife with touching message ahead of huge milestone Ryan seemed wonderfully surprised by Nikki's response and made a pun, saying, "This is the first Finterior designer I’ve ever met on this show. That sounds like a really cool job, good luck with that.
" He also added another good luck to her with the "relationship thing." Before Nikki began her anecdote, Ryan had stated that Nikki wanted her relationship status to be known so he announced that she was "single as a pringle". One fan on X formely Twitter couldn’t believe their ears and thought they may have been mishearing because of their surgery: "I’m still a bit groggy from my surgery ystdy but did that lady on #WheelOfFortune say she was an interior designer for fish?" Another fan confirmed to the first that what they heard was correct: "An interior designer for fish, yes.
I can confirm." Well some may not be familiar with aquascaping, it is a thing and there’s a website that provides details on the craft. According to Aquascaping Love , aquascaping is the task of artistically and creatively arranging natural elements—like aquatic plants, stones, driftwood and substrates—within an aquarium.
Per the aquascaping website , aquascaping seemed to begin in the Netherlands as the Dutch-style is the oldest recorded method and became popular in the 1930s in the country due to the application of the NBAT (the Dutch Society for Aquarists). The Dutch Aquarium style involves the use of plants and not wood, rocks and other hardscape. The center of this style pertains to the "growth and arrangement of aquatic plants" so anyone who wants to do the Dutch method has to have substantial knowledge of aquatic plants.
Unfortunately Nikki did not win Wheel of Fortune as she came in third and went home with $1,000. Julie ended up winning as she maintained a strong lead in the game throughout. She got the bonus round puzzle (“Being Quite Witty”) which earned her a Ford Bronco and a total of $67,350.
