Hollywood-owned Wrexham have been slammed over a controversial ticketing decision which fans say will leave them out of pocket just after Christmas . Tickets for the League One outfit's home matches were until recently released on sale individually at staggered intervals, allowing supporters to spread their spending. However, the club suddenly announced just before the new year that tickets for the Red Dragons' remaining home fixtures would be released in blocks of three.

The first batch for Wrexham's crunch games against Birmingham City, Stevenage and Leyton Orient later this month went on sale yesterday. Individual match tickets for the temporary Kop stand, where most general sale seats are on offer, are priced at £22 for adults, £8 for children under 11 or £11 for youngsters aged between 11 and 17.
It would therefore cost a family of four anywhere between £180 and £198 to purchase tickets for all three games at once. A large number of fans have posted on X, formerly Twitter , to express their frustration at the decision. Gav Lea said: "Another own goal by the club here.
This is a crazy decision straight after Christmas for fans who may have to budget for tickets." Scott Shore said: "Is this April Fools' Day? Me and the daughter have been every home match since she started getting into football and now it’s going to cost me £100 near enough in one go with two days' notice. "Got one very disappointed little girl now as we have to choose what games we can go to.
" Meanwhile, Neil Hayes said: "Can I just say there needs to be a sense check on decisions like this - maybe ask local employees what they think. "Putting so many tickets on sale on the same day and so soon after Christmas doesn’t work for most working class fans and is pretty obvious for me as being wrong." The move comes shortly after Wrexham scrapped a controversial £10 charge for supporters to use a fan zone at the Racecourse Ground following a similar backlash.
The fee led to a drop in attendances in the temporary Kop stand where fans sat in the middle sections were made to shell out for fan zone access, regardless of whether they wanted it. The decision to remove the charge was taken after large blocks of empty seats were visible when Wrexham played Cambridge United last month, with Deadpool star Reynolds in attendance alongside Channing Tatum . Supporters are now asking the club's owners to step in to sort out the latest ticketing controversy.
One fan posting on X said: "I seriously hope Ryan and Rob see these messages and don't wait months like the fan zone to change this decision. "Even from a business decision, this is nuts. When it comes to tickets and still no loyalty scheme, someone clearly doesn't have a clue of the feelings of the fanbase.
" Wrexham AFC has been approached for comment..
