HAGUE—Ryan Michael Lawrence “Rybee”, 41, of Hague, N.Y., passed away at Albany Medical Center on April 6, 2025, after his Honor Walk as a hero, for donating his organs.

Rybee was born in Ticonderoga on July 18, 1983. He was raised on May Mountain with many of his cousins. He attended Ticonderoga Central School, graduating in 2001.



Ry is predeceased by much missed grandparents, George and Ida (Ruth) May, Donald and Phyllis (Havens) Lawrence, and Allen and Ann (Fish) Perkins; and his cousins, Derek May and Caleb Lawrence. He is survived by his parents, Peter and Valerie (May) Lawrence; his brothers, Nathan Lawrence (Monica), Jake Lawrence (Sarah Ezzo), Aaron Lawrence (Jaimee Kuhl) and Brett Hallenbeck; his nephews, Hudson, Wade and Aden; his niece, Addy; and many, many aunts, uncles and cousins. His first job was working the wood truck at Rogers Rock for Judy Waters.

Then, with his first working papers he started a long career at Silver Bay YMCA, where he started in the dish room and worked up to lead p.m. cook, and these last years behind the deli counter at the Hague Market.

He was an avid reader, loved gambling, $$, The Beatles and Johnny Cash. Rybee will be laid to rest at May Memorial Cemetery on the New Hague Road, on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 11 a.m.

, with the Rev. Oliver Bevins officiating. A Celebration of Life at the Hague Fish and Game Club, 488 West Hague Road, Hague, will immediately follow.
