
YOUTH NEWS LYNDON — A common merganser painting by Cassy Pan, a student at Lyndon Institute, won the Best of Show in the Vermont competition of the 2025 Federal Junior Duck Stamp Conservation and Design Art Contest. The judging was held at the North Branch Nature Center on March 27. The Vermont Best of Show artwork will now compete in the National Federal Junior Duck Stamp Conservation and Design Art Contest, as well as be included in an exhibit that will tour the United States for the coming year.
Proceeds from the Junior Duck Stamps support environmental education by providing awards and scholarships for students, teachers and schools. WINOOSKI — Winooski High School student Mapenzi Selemani, winner of the Vermont State Poetry Out Loud competition will travel to Washington, D.C.
