In a dignified ceremony at the Russian Federation Embassy in Islamabad, HE Mr. Albert P. Khorev, Ambassador of Russia to Pakistan, presented a Memento of Appreciation to HE Ms.

Sehar Kamran, Member of the National Assembly of Pakistan, honoring her outstanding contributions to Russian-Pakistani relations. Sehar Kamran has also been decorated with the Russian Federation “Award of Cooperation”. The Award was conferred on Senator Sehar Kamran on 31st August 2018 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in acknowledgement of her efforts to promote and strengthen bilateral relations between Pakistan and the Russian Federation.



Currently a Member of the National Assembly (2024–2029), Ms. Sehar Kamran served as a Senator from 2012 to 2018. With over 17 years as an educationist and philanthropist, she is a respected figure in regional, international, defense, and strategic studies.

Her contributions to education, social work, and promoting Pakistan in Saudi Arabia earned her the prestigious “Tamgha-e-Imtiaz,” one of Pakistan’s highest civil honors. Ms. Kamran has authored numerous works, including a book chapter and the edited volume Rejuvenating FATA: Education as an Instrument of Change in Evolving Dynamics of FATA: Reflections on Transformation .

She also wrote Rationalism and Wisdom of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and published research on “Pakistan and Gulf Relations,” “Pak-Saudi Relations,” and “Pakistan and Russia Relations: An Overview.” Her articles, research papers, columns, and opinion pieces frequently appear in leading national and international newspapers and journals.
