EXCLUSIVE: Chet Hanks has signed with Paradigm for representation. Hanks currently stars opposite Kate Hudson in Netflix’s Running Point as Travis Bugg, the problematic point guard of the Waves. The series is inspired by the LA Lakers and its president, Jeanie Buss.

When a scandal forces her brother to resign, Isla Gordon (Hudson) is appointed president of the Los Angeles Waves, one of the most storied professional basketball franchises, and her family business. Ambitious and often overlooked, Isla will have to prove to her skeptical brothers, the board, and the larger sports community that she is the right choice for the job. Running Point was renewed for a second season early last month.

Watch on Deadline Hanks recently wrapped filming the conspiracy thriller Lone Wolf , starring opposite Lily Gladstone and Bryan Cranston. Written by Tom Chilcoat and directed by Mark Pellington, Lone Wolf follows a troubled vet (Gladstone) struggling with addiction who is recruited by a contractor (Cranston) for a covert government plot to assassinate a high-level politician.

After learning she’s set to take the fall, she must utilize her skills to outwit the shadow agents to protect her son’s future. The project reunited Hanks with Cranston, his former co-star on the Showtime drama Your Honor from Peter Moffat. Hanks played Carlo’s (Jimi Stanton) best friend, Joey Maldini, who has criminal plans of his own while working for organized crime boss Jimmy Baxter (Michael Stuhlbarg).

The series ran for two seasons, although originally ordered as a miniseries. Most recently on the film side, Hanks can be seen in the crime drama Dead Wrong . Prior credits include the features Greyhound , Fantastic Four , and Larry Crowne, among others.
