New Mexico residents living in the Sierra Blanca mountain range have been told to leave their belongings and flee the area as wildfires rage.

The Sierra Blanca mountain community of Ruidoso has been told to evacuate immediately as a wildfire rages. Residents in the New Mexico village has been told to leave their belongings behind and flee as huge smoke clouds blanket the area. In a post on X, the mayor's office said: "An emergency mandatory GO evacuation is issued for the entire Village of Ruidoso from Sudderth/Mechem to Freedom Bloom at Big O Tire.
