Niltech Consulting Founder, Nilesh Sigh, realised his company’s partnership with the Queensland Rugby Union (QRU) had hit its stride when he brought six Queensland Reds players to visit his old school, Suva Grammar. Singh, a proud Suva Grammar alumnus, was thrilled to connect the international rugby team with the school, where his love for the sport began. The Red visit to Suva in May, 2024 to play the Fijian Drua proved to be defining moment in Niltech’s partnership with QRU, a collaboration that had only begun three months prior.

Singh’s partnership with the Red’s, which started this year, has been extended for another year. Niltech Consulting’s logo will continue to be featured on the team’s playing and training shorts, as well as on the Queensland seven’s squad. “The partnership has surpassed all expectations.

We are very pleased, and long may it continue, “said Singh, reflecting on the first few months of the collaboration. Singh added that the sponsorship has been great for Niltech Consulting, a digital transformation company with hubs in Brisbane, Malaysia and soon East Timor. “When the Reds had that big win over the Crusaders, people noticed our logo.

It shows the partnership is working.” For Singh, it wasn’t just about the corporate ties- it was the personal connections and respect he saw throughout the partnership that resonated. “In Fiji, three players were scheduled to visit Suva Grammar, but six turned up.

Their impact on the boys, from the first XV to the Unde-15s, was tremendous. I’m sure we’ll see some future Super Rugby Pacific players from that group,” he said. Red’s prop Peni Ravai offering tips to the First XV prop in a media appearance, along with Reds stars like Seru Uru, Suliasi Vunivalu and Hunter Paisami, who took time to engage with the students was one of the highlights of the visit.

Singh emphasized that the partnership goes beyond business. It’s about supporting rugby in both Australia and Fiji and inspiring the next generation of players..
