The all-new 750cc cafe-racer is expected to fill in the shoes of the existing model of the Continental GT 650 in India upon its launch The all-new Royal Enfield 750cc cafe racer has been spotted testing for the very first time on Indian roads by our friends at Rushlane. Earlier this year, it was learnt that Royal Enfield is working on a bigger version of the Interceptor 650 and now the first images of the said bike have surfaced on the web. The new cafe racer model, apparently underpinning the same frame, is expected to replace the Continental GT 650 upon its launch in the Indian market.

Going by the spy shots, the test unit flaunts a typical cafe-racer character with a Monza-style front fairing that goes back, extending up to half a portion of the fuel tank. It seems that Royal Enfield is focusing more on sporty ergonomics with the new 750cc cafe racer due to the inclusion of a clip-on handlebar and rear-positioned footpegs. The spy images show that the seat and fuel tank are specifically designed for this motorcycle and bear very little resemblance to the upcoming 750cc version of the Interceptor.

Upon a closer look, one can also notice a round panel under the seat, akin to the one we saw in the recently launched Bear 650. As for the hardware, we can clearly see a dual-disc setup at the front to return better stopping power than a single-disc setup, which is there on several 650cc RE motorcycles. The spied 750cc cafe-racer rides on alloy wheels, which are likely to be 18-inch rims.

Mechanically, the motorcycle will be equipped with a new 750cc engine which will be made out of the existing 648cc twin-cylinder engine. Just so you know, the 648cc parallel-twin engine delivers 47 bhp and 52 Nm.

This 750cc engine is expected to produce 5-7bhp more power than the 648cc motor. Royal Enfield has announced no definite timeline for the launch of the 750cc range of motorcycles in the Indian market. However, we believe that both the cafe-racer and Interceptor 750 will not be introduced before mid-2026.

The company has already lined up multiple new motorcycles for launch in India, which start with the Goan Classic 350 on Nov 23 at the Motoverse 2024 in Goa. The 2025 Royal Enfield Hunter 350 will also go on sale during the second half of next year.

Post that, we believe the introduction of the Himalayan 650 will take place at the EICMA 2025 alongside the production-ready Flying Flea C6. Source.
