Sky Sports pundit Roy Keane has spoken out about his exchange with an Ipswich Town fan. Speaking at a live showing of the Stick To Football Podcast, the former Town manager spoke about the exchange which happened after the 1-1 draw against Manchester United at Portman Road last month. While working pitchside in his role for Sky Sports, the former Red Devils captain went over to a Blues fan who had shouted: "You're a better pundit than you are a manager.

Security and fellow pundit Jamie Redknapp then intervened. During the podcast Keane said he did wait for the man in the Portman Road car park but he never showed up.
The 53-year-old said: "I wasn’t angry at the Ipswich Town game. "What happens when we’re doing matches and the analysis is happening at the end of the match when fans can be up or down, whatever emotions they are feeling – and people think they can abuse you, and it seems we’re supposed to accept that.'' "I went over to him twice – I said: 'No problem, if you want to abuse me or if you want a discussion with me, well I’m working.
"I went over to him at different stages and he was swearing in front of kids. "I said: 'If you want to see me afterwards' – and people thought I was asking him for a [fight]. I said: 'I’ll see you in the car park'.
"Where else was I going to see him? He wasn’t there! I couldn't say see you in the lounge. They were obviously asked to leave the ground." Keane's last stint as a manager was at Portman Road after being appointed in 2009, but was sacked in January 2011 with the Tractor Boys sitting in 18th place in the Championship.
