Route 30 eastbound closed after Unity truck crash

A crash on Route 30 shut the eastbound side of the highway down Wednesday night in Unity. First responders were called to Route 30 near Johnson Road shortly before 8 p.m.

for an overturned truck, according to a Westmoreland County 911 supervisor. The truck sheared a utility pole with downed wires blocking part of the road, according to emergency officials. The eastbound side of the highway closed at Johnson Road.
