NORTHFIELD — After having multiple games postponed due to the weather, Mount Greylock finally got out on the softball field and took out its pent-up enthusiasm on Pioneer Valley on Monday. The Mounties pummeled the Panthers 22-3 in five innings in a shortened game. Malia Koffi and Kaleigh Jaros were electric at the plate.
Jaros was 2 for 4, both hits doubles, with an RBI and 4 runs. Meanwhile Koffi was 3 for 4, two were for doubles while the other was a leadoff home run to begin the top of the fourth. She had 5 RBI as well.
AJ Pelkey was 3 for 3 with 2 RBI and 2 runs and Elin Reinhard was 2 for 3 with 2 runs and 2 RBI. Jaros got the win in the circle, walking five, striking out six and giving up just two earned runs against three hits. Greylock is scheduled to play Wahconah on Wednesday at 4:30 p.
