Valley rallies lateCarter Sopher’s RBI single highlighted a two-run top of the seventh inning, lifting Licking Valley to a 2-1 victory at Mount Vernon in the Licking County League-Buckeye Division opener.Evan Lichtenauer opened the inning with a single, and Brody Lambert later walked and scored on an error for the Panthers (3-1, 1-0), who also received a double from Brody Rodgers. Lichtenauer struck out 10 and allowed just an unearned run in a five-hitter.
