Rosie O’Donnell ’s daughter, Chelsea O’Donnell , was arrested for a third time, just five days after she was bailed out of jail on previous drug charges. According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly , a car was pulled over by police due to loud exhaust in Niagara, Wisconsin, on November 18. Chelsea, 27, was one of two passengers in the vehicle.
The officer noticed that Chelsea had “pick marks” on her face and asked for any identifying information. Chelsea did not have identification on hand but relayed her name and date of birth to the officer, per the docs. The officer ran her name and birthday into his system and saw she was out on bond for drug cases out of Marinette and Oconto County in Wisconsin.
(Chelsea was previously arrested in September and October and charged with child neglect and drug possession.) After running her information, the officer ordered a K9 to conduct a sniff of the car, which resulted in a positive alert. Law enforcement ordered Chelsea and the others in the car to exit the vehicle.
Naloxone, which can be used to reverse the effects of an opiate overdose, was found in the trunk. While searching for weapons on her person, Chelsea removed a “clear smoking device” from her bra. According to court documents, the device had residue inside which tested positive for methamphetamine.
During the pat down, Chelsea was deemed “argumentative” by the authorities and placed in handcuffs behind her back. After “calming down and becoming cooperative,” the restraints were moved. Chelsea was turned over to the Marinette County Jail where she was searched for a second time, when authorities found she was hiding a prescription pill bottle.
The bottle included a clear bag of a crystal-like substance, a clear bag of hydrocodone, eight loose hydrocodone pills, 16 lamotrigine pills plus one whole and three halves of Alprazolam pills. Chelsea faces five charges, which includes two felony counts of possession of methamphetamine and an additional felony count of possession of narcotic drugs. She was also charged with resisting an officer and possession of drug paraphernalia, which are both misdemeanors.
