The Holywood star begins the day two strokes clear at the top of the leaderboard.

A SuperComputer has given Rory McIlroy a 77% chance of winning The Masters today and ending his 11-year major drought. McIlroy (-12) starts the day two strokes clear when he tees off alongside Bryson DeChambeau (-10) at 7.30pm this evening as he looks to end over a decade of major misery and win the green jacket for the first time.

Should McIlroy get the job done, he will become just the sixth man in history to complete the grand-slam by winning at Augusta for the first time after triumphs at the US Open (2011), PGA Championship (2012 & 2014) and The Open (2012). And according to Prime Casino, who have the latest casino games, their Supercomputer predicts that the Northern Irishman has a 77.4% chance of sealing the deal this evening.

DeChambeau has a 16% chance of winning, with third place Corey Connors given just a 2.3% shot at getting the win. Speaking after a sparkling 66 on Saturday, the World number two said, “It was an awesome day and puts me into a great position going into tomorrow.

” “I think the big thing is not to make it a rematch, stay in my own little world. “There’s a few other people who could make a run, I just have to stay in my own little bubble and approach the day with the same attitude I have the last few days.” Get the latest sports headlines straight to your inbox by signing up for free email alerts .
