Rory McIlroy had the perfect emotional celebration after finally winning his first-career Masters

Nothing about the Masters has ever been easy for Rory McIlroy. He's been chasing that elusive green jacket his entire career, and Sunday was yet another roller coaster for McIlroy. But this time, Rory got to experience a win at Augusta for the first time in his 17th try.

And it was obvious just how much that win meant to McIlroy after he made his birdie putt in the first playoff hole on 18. He overcame multiple near collapses and meltdowns to defeat Justin Rose in the playoff. With his nerves at an all-time high, McIlroy finally was able to release those emotions and complete the career grand slam.



What a moment and what a way to win. He'll remember that celebration forever. The weight is off his back now.
