A Romsey business has been chosen to lead a new programme aimed at helping local businesses grow. Aspire4Business.com, which has been based in Romsey for six years, was given the contract to design and deliver the Business Growth Programme for Havant Borough Council.
The contract was awarded after a tender process, and the programme will be funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, a government initiative. Aspire4Business.com is known for creating bespoke business support programmes and problem-solving.
Each month, it holds business events, including Boardroom Business in Fareham, a peer group and safe place for open discussions. It also holds a Twilight Business Academy Night School at Southampton's Ocean Village Innovation Centre on the fourth Thursday of each month. These events are aimed at those who are time-poor during the day, 'parentpreneurs' wanting to get their side hustle on the go, and fledgling businesses.
The company has previously worked on business building projects with Fareham Borough Council and Bristol City Council through YTKO. Aspire4Business.com's founder, Beverley Poole, has been a Romsey resident for many years and has seen her business grow from humble beginnings, saying: "From small acorns, my business has grown".
Her business, the Aspire4Business Academy, is a hosting platform for digital futures. It runs design and create programmes for those wanting to turn their ideas into online training and can host subscription and membership-based models. Ms Poole has been a governor at Romsey Abbey Primary School and her two children, who both attended The Romsey School, are now achieving their own successes.
Her oldest daughter, a qualified speech and language therapist, is set to start work in the stroke ward of a local hospital..
