Olivia Hussey Eisley died at age 73 after a remarkable career in Hollywood , including Romeo and Juliet . A statement was released on her Instagram , saying: "It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Olivia Hussey Eisley, who went peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on December 27th. "Olivia was a remarkable person whose warmth, wisdom, and pure kindness touched the lives of all who knew her.

The British actress was born in Buenos Aires, but was raised in the United Kingdom. She studied drama at Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts. By age 13, she was a professional in the art, appearing in stage productions before moving to television.
Her young age in Romeo and Juliet became incredibly controversial given the nudity scenes. In 2018, she claimed she thought the studio handled the scene "tastefully," adding in her memoir: "We shot it at the end of the film. So by that time .
