Rollstone Church holds Blessing of the Coats

FITCHBURG — Rollstone Congregational Church hosted a special Blessing of the Coats recently, which included the collection of over 50 coats and warm winter accessories by the deacons. The collection drive also included cold weather bags for men and women in need of warm weather accessories and the Mitten Drive, where mittens, hats, and nap time blankets were collected by members of the Missionary Sewing Group and delivered to Children’s Aid and Family Service. “This fall we had a few groups within the church who led collections of items we felt would be needed before winter for those in the community who might be struggling or in need,” said Beth Capone Porell, a member of Rollstone Congregational Church.
