Robert Pattinson is reportedly zeroing in on the chief villain role in the upcoming Dune: Messiah . THR reports that Pattinson is currently being eyed to play the villain in Denis Villeneuve’s third and final film in the Dune franchise. THR notes that the role is potentially possibly that of Scytale.
No offer has yet been made to Pattinson, who currently has The Batman 2 somewhere on his future schedule and is filming Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey . If he were to sign on, Pattinson would join Timothée Chalamet in the film which will be Villeneuve’s last in the series. The film is expected to film this summer with a December 18th, 2026 release date set.
Dune: Part Two was a massive hit for Warner Bros., having grossed $714.7 million worldwide against a $190 million budget and scoring five Oscar nominations, with wins for Best Sound and Best Visual Effects.
