The final part of the trilogy spanning the events in ‘Dune: Messiah’, is expected to release in 2026.

You might see Robert Pattinson entering the Arrakis soon. ‘The Batman’ fame is reported to be in talks to play a villainous role in Denis Villeneuve’s highly-anticipated sci-fi sequel ‘Dune: Messiah, as per Deadline. It is important to note that no official offer has been made to Pattison yet.

However, makers have apparently shown strong interest in casting the 38-year-old. If things materialise, we will see Pattison essaying Scytale, a shape-shifting Face Dancer from Frank Herbert’s original novels. The actor would then also join the high-profile ensemble alongside returning stars Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Florence Pugh, and Austin Butler.

The development comes at a time when Pattinson’s schedule is already packed, he is set to return as the Caped Crusader in ‘The Batman: Part II,’ and will also star in Christopher Nolan’s next project ‘The Odyssey.’ Previously, Jason Momoa confirmed that he will return to the Duneverse as Duncan Idaho, despite his character being killed in the first installment of the film franchise. Swordmaster of House Atreides, Duncan mentors Timothée Chalamet’s Paul Atreides to learn martial arts in the first installment.

He tragically sacrifices himself while saving Paul and his mother, Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson), from an ambush. Robert Pattinson would be playing the villain Scytale in ‘DUNE 3’ if he decides to sign on. (Source: https://t.

Momoa did not reprise his role in the 2024 Dune: Part Two. But not many know that Herbert’s novel ‘Dune: Messiah,’ set over a decade after the events of ‘Dune: Part Two,’ brings back Idaho as Hayt, a clone of his former self. And like the original source material Idaho will make a comeback in the film adaptation as well.

“Well, I’m not sure if I’m going to get in trouble or not. But it’s the same thing like Game of Thrones, you know what I mean? If you didn’t read the books, it’s not my fault, right?,” said Momoa to TODAY host Craig Melvin. He confirmed, “I'm making a comeback.

You got me in trouble!" ‘Dune: Part Three’, the final part of the trilogy spanning the events in ‘Dune: Messiah’, is expected to release in 2026..
