There was a lot of hype surrounding Mike Tyson's return to boxing against Jake Paul, which took place at AT&T Stadium on Friday night. And yet, many fans quickly realized that Tyson, as 58 years old, was not up to the task of beating Paul, which led to a viral message from Robert Griffin III. While Tyson threw some good punches along the way, he simply didn't have the stamina or reach to truly give Paul a run for his money in this fight.

He managed to go the distance with Paul, but he unsurprisingly lost by unanimous decision when all was said and done. Many fans were demoralized to see the fight end up being a dud, as Tyson simply didn't have the juice to challenge Paul. It led to a quick reaction from Griffin, who said it was "heartbreaking" to watch Tyson go toe-to-toe with Paul in the ring, with the post on X, formerly known as Twitter, going viral.

This is truly heart breaking to watch 58 year old Mike Tyson in the ring right now. It's tough to truly know how to feel about Tyson's return to boxing. On one hand, he's 58 years old, and the fact that he was even able to get himself into good enough shape to create all the hype that surrounded the buildup to this fight is wildly impressive.

But on the other hand, it was clear pretty early on that Tyson was no match for Paul, who is 31 years younger than him. There were certainly some moments of intrigue along the way, but for the most part, there wasn't much suspense as to who could come out on top. © Denny Medley-Imagn Images Griffin's post was divisive in that sense, as some fans agreed with him, while others commended Tyson for simply getting back in the ring.

On the surface, Tyson simply getting in the ring is an incredibly impressive feat, but the folks who were hoping for a good fight between the two were left sorely disappointed. Despite the result, Tyson refused to call it quits on his boxing career, even saying he could see himself returning to the ring down the line. Whether that actually happens remains to be seen, but it doesn't seem like we've seen the last of Tyson, even with this disappointing result in the books.
