EXCLUSIVE: Rob Lowe has talked about his youthful looks at the 2025 Breakthrough Prize awards, following his time with 9-1-1.

Rob Lowe is saying farewell to 9-1-1 Lone Star after the hit drama wrapped its final season. In a brief interview with the Daily Express at the 2025 Breakthrough Prize Awards , the 61-year-old actor confirmed that the series, which aired its fourth and final season, has officially come to a close. “We’re done,” Lowe said simply.

Lowe, who starred as firefighter captain Owen Strand since the show’s debut in 2020, helped anchor the Texas-based spinoff of 9-1-1, which earned a loyal fanbase over its run on Fox. When asked how he maintains his youthful appearance, the actor didn’t miss a beat: “Very nice. All the scientists, they’re making all these guys.

With Rob Lowe, the veteran actor blasted the state’s lackluster tax credit system during a conversation with his former Parks and Recreation co-star, Adam Scott.
