Planned roadworks at Erbury Place and Common Street in Clare have been cancelled due to parked vehicles restricting access.

Planned roadworks near a town primary school have been cancelled due to parked vehicles restricting access. Resurfacing works were scheduled to take place along Common Street and Erbury Place in Clare this week. The works were set to start on Tuesday, April 8 and finish on Friday, April 11.

However Suffolk Highways has cancelled the planned works near Clare Community Primary School due to restricted access caused by parked vehicles along the roads. READ MORE: 'Constant irritation' of roadworks in Trimley St Martin Resurfacing work was due to take place this week (Image: Newsquest) A spokesman for the authority said: "We are disappointed that our planned resurfacing works at Erbury Place and Common Street in Clare this week have been cancelled due to parked vehicles preventing access, despite letters being sent to residents advising of the works and requesting that they move their vehicles, as well as teams on site trying to assist with this. "Please help us to maintain and improve Suffolk's highways by moving your vehicles when requested.
