Road closure, detour planned

Blythe Development LLC, in conjunction with the town of Summerville, will begin a road closure with a detour near North Maple Street and West 1st North Street to install pipe crossing NP-10-8 and construct the North Maple Street Extension.

Blythe Development LLC, in conjunction with the town of Summerville, will begin a road closure with a detour near North Maple Street and West 1st North Street to install pipe crossing NP-10-8 and construct the North Maple Street Extension. The daytime shutdowns from Tuesday, Sept. 24 through Thursday, Sept.

26, will affect West 1st North Street between North Maple Street and Aulds Lane. All scheduled times are approximate and dependent on the weather. Local traffic will be routed via traffic flaggers or detour signage.



Drivers traveling near the construction zones are asked to be aware of equipment and crews working in the areas. Drivers are also asked to comply with traffic control signs, reductions in speed limits and message board information. Work also includes relocating S-59 (Parsons Road), marking pavements, signing, implementing traffic control for the entire project and implementing street lighting along S-131 (North Maple Street). The project includes traffic signal installation, in-contract sewer line relocation, and railroad and utility coordination. The total estimated roadway length of the project is approximately 2.
