RiverCities Transit is proposing changes to bus services in Lexington and Beacon Hill after its board decided to keep the route despite a failed measure to pay for it. The Cowlitz Transit Authority board voted in September to maintain a temporary route along Route 411 until September after voters denied annexing the area into the transit district and raising Lexington and Beacon Hill sales tax to cover operations. According to a recent agency press release, the transport agency has proposed three ways to reduce the cost of the route and increase ridership: The RiverCities Transit bus to Lexington parked outside of Longview City Hall on Wednesday, April 10.
The agency is requesting public comment on three proposed changes to Route 411. The transit agency is asking for public input on the changes, which are set to take effect on March 31. People can mail comments to PO Box 128, Longview, WA 98632 or email them to customerservice@rctransit.
org by Feb. 11. People can also discuss the options in-person at the Feb.
