Ludhiana: A resident of Ferozepur Road, Shivam, was in for a rude shock when he finally received his compartment exam marksheet from PSEB . It was because the Punjab School Education Board had put a photo of woman on the detailed marksheet certificate of the 19-year-old boy. He, however, is not the only one.

Students who appeared in compartment exams of PSEB are being left shocked on receiving their DMC issued by PSEB as the photographs are not theirs. Students have been left with no other option but to visit exam centres to try to figure out what happened. Shivam, who lives at Pink Avenue on Ferozpur Road, said he was stunned to say the least.

“The picture in my certificate is wrong. That is a picture of a woman I don’t even know. I didn’t upload any wrong details when I appeared for open exams as I have my roll number with me.

I got compartment in Punjabi and English and re-appeared for the exams in July. I was shocked to see my DMC and then panicked. I asked an official to get rectification and was told that I would have to travel to Mohali to get it rectified on payment of extra Rs 500 to Rs 800.

I had already paid around Rs 13,000 total, including around Rs 10,000 as admission fees and Rs 1,350 for the roll number,” he said. Another student, Sushil Kumar said, “The picture on my certificate doesn't belong to me. I appeared for the SST compartment exam on July 11.

I hope PSEB rectifies it.” Secretary, PSEB Avikesh Gupta said, “I will cross check this with the team and check why this has been done. We will revert on this after talking to the third party involved.

The board will take care of the new DMC.” We also published the following articles recently Maha board in top 5 in students taking, passing 10 & 12 exams In 2023, Maharashtra State Board ranks among India's top five for Class 10 and 12 exams.
